The Pont Roupt has long been a family home with a tradition of warm hospitality and generous cuisine featuring regional produce.
In the heart of the town of Mende and the Lozère region, the hotel has both a traditional and contemporary feel. It boasts a warm environment ideal for tourists and business travellers alike.
The hotel has comfortable rooms, an indoor heated swimming pool, a relaxation area and fitness centre, a restaurant, as well as meeting rooms and reception areas. Free private parking.
Originally, the Pont Roupt was a dance hall. After the war, Georges and his sister Alix took over from their Uncle Marius and opened a hotel and restaurant. Since then, the hotel has continued to develop and modernise over several generations to meet the needs of its guests. New rooms were added in the 1960s and the restaurant was extended in 1981. In 1989, Jean-Marie took over from his father and, along with his wife Ginette, undertook a series of major renovations, including the addition of a new indoor swimming pool, a lift, as well as renovations to the existing restaurant and rooms.
Today Ginette Gerbail runs the establishment with her son, Alexandre, and they have lots of plans for the future!
